Like the cross section of a tree, the inside of an oil tank can sometimes tell its story. Some tanks will have “tide lines” displaying where the organic organisms floated and corroded the tank. Some tanks will show the level where the unused contents stayed for years and how much it rose with the water tables during the rainy seasons. There are rusty and corroded tanks and there are tanks that still have there original paint on them, every tank is different.
